We eat out pretty often, so we see our fair share of NYC bathrooms. Like the one at the Donut Plant in Chelsea… with a disco ball above the toilet, it adds a little fun to your pit stop.
Yay, free ice cream!
Embrace spring and head to Haagen-Dazs next Tuesday, May 8th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a free ice cream cone. We’d recommend going to the Haagen-Dazs at the South Street Seaport, so you take in the scenic view and enjoy your cone seaside.
By Subway: Take the 2,3,4,5 to Fulton Street and walk to Pier 17.
A few things were important to us when we decided to do this food show. For starters, we were going to feature spots that have delicious and affordable food. The affordable part is critical—but do bare in mind we live in NYC, so that simply means under $15. You won’t find us in any fancy restaurants though.
And to guarantee our objectivity, we don’t let any of the restaurants pay for our meals. We like to sample all three spots on the same day because the flavors stay top of mind when we’re comparing.
How do we pick the spots? Good old fashioned research, preferably online, where we read up on what other people are saying about the restaurants. We ask all our foodie and non-foodie friends, our co-workers, and anyone else who wants to talk food, for recommendations. That’s exactly what you’d do, if you needed to find out where to go eat. Get Spiced NYC just does the legwork for you. Because we love good food and we love value.
Bond night was a huge success! The menu included black caviar, grilled asparagus and salad, roasted leg of lamb with rosemary and thyme, buttered new potatoes with peas, and strawberry romanoff.
Ever wonder what other foods the most famous spy likes to eat? Scrambled eggs, marmalade, and stone crabs are some of the delicacies favored by 007. Bottoms up with champagne, and of course, vodka martini’s.
